The new building at 1224 Columbia is now completed, and during the COVID-19 pandemic Block 95, where our beloved 1120 Cherry building existed, was demolished to make way for a brand new building on the Swedish campus.

Along Marion Street, from Minor to Broadway, Swedish has begun the work to replace the original 1920's North & West Towers, where the Nordstrom skybridge connects, to build their brand new North Tower. (First Hill Expansion Project). As of March 2022, the asbestos abatement was well underway, and the careful dismantling is well on it's way. As of November 2022, nearly all of the old buildings have been demolished, piece by piece, effectively mitigating noise and pollution. As of July 2024, the construction of the new tower is well under way. Opening is expected in Fall of 2027.
